BACK TO YOU:
The Retreat
Sunday 21st June
2:15pm - 4:45pm
Lesnes Abbey Lodge
Lesnes Abbey Woods, New Road, SE2 0AX
Back to You: The Retreat is a restorative, nourishing experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself, realign, and reset your energy.
It's dedicated time and space to tune in, and tend to what you need most right now.
You’ll experience a series of practices that bring you into the present moment, and into your body more than your mind.
These practices will also:
Allow more energy to move more freely through you
Regulate and resource your nervous-system
Give space to parts of yourself that get neglected, overridden, or burned out
Release stress and tension in the body
Feel more balanced and clear.
You are invited to come exactly as you are, and leave feeling even more like yourself.
Whether you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, constantly “on,” emotionally drained, physically tense or depleted, navigating health challenges, disconnected from yourself, or simply in need of space away from the demands of everyday life, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and restore your energy.
This retreat includes thoughtful touches that are often especially appreciated by those living with health challenges, chronic pain, sensitivities, anxiety, burnout, or neuro-divergence.
Throughout the afternoon you’ll be guided through:
Self-connection practices
Body and mind centered meditations
Tai chi and qigong inspired gentle movement meditation
Stress and tension release
Breathwork (with sound / voice work elements)
Visualisation exercises
Self-inquiry, journaling & integration
Co-regulating connection practices
A short nature-based practice outdoors in the natural surroundings of Lesnes Abbey
All woven with with space for joy, inspiration, softness & ease.
You don’t need to be experienced to come.
You just need to be willing to show up and meet yourself where you are.
Because life can become loud, fast, mentally consuming, physically draining, and loaded with responsibilities and pressure. Many of us spend most of the time simply reacting to stress, challenges, overthinking, expectations, responsibilities, and the demands of everyday life.
Because we rarely give ourselves enough time and space to truly connect with ourselves (including the parts of ourselves that get neglected or hidden), our bodies, and our needs.
Because many of us carry stress, tension, emotion, exhaustion and burnout in the body and mind without fully realising how much we’ve been holding, and the ways we can support our nervous systems.
Because somatic practices, meditations, mindfulness, breathwork, reflection, stillness, movement, and supportive connection can help us feel more present, connected, grounded, clear, alive, and resourced.
Because there’s something powerful about stepping away from the chaos, and away from our habits and routines to spend a few hours simply being human, alongside others craving the same thing.
To just be.
