I work 1:1  with individuals, and I also work with couples, families, groups, and teams.

Coaching sessions are containers for real, deep change. They provide a dedicated ongoing space to work closely with what matters to you.

Whether you're struggling with something in the present, finding yourself caught in old or recurring patterns, or wanting to show up for yourself or your relationships differently, we begin with where you are, what you want to change, and what you want to move towards.

Our work is shaped around you rather than a fixed programme. We work with the psychological, relational and embodied: thoughts, beliefs and memories, emotions and needs, relationships, parts of self, patterns and protective responses, nervous system responses, expression and what emerges through the body.

With the safety and continuity to go beyond what is happening on the surface, we can tend to what's underneath and what may be keeping things as they are, while building the capacity for new ways of being, responding, relating and moving forward that look after what you care about and that you can access even under stress.

Group Sessions,
Workshops
& Retreats

My groups, workshops and immersive experiences offer you the time, space and conditions to come into closer contact with yourself, your body, your inner experience, what you're feeling, what you need and what you'd like to move towards.

Through carefully facilitated experiences, you're invited to slow down, support your nervous system to settle, notice what is happening within you and make room for more embodied connection, expression and exploration.

Practices vary between group offerings, and can include somatic awareness and inquiry, breathwork, movement, guided visualisation, mindfulness and meditation, reflection, nature and connection exercises.

My current group offerings include BACK TO YOU, a series of somatic sessions and immersive retreats, with further workshops and experiences developing alongside it.

Do any of these sound like you?

If so, you're not alone.

These are some of the experiences I support my clients with.

Many of us can find ourselves stuck in one or several of these tender places.
STRESS, ANXIETY, NERVOUS-SYSTEM
"Emotions feel too overwhelming! I find it really hard to come back to baseline or regulate."

"I don't know what I feel, need or want!"

"I mostly feel numb."

"I don't know how to cope with stress or anxiety. Many times I turn to food / lots of exercise / sex / alchohol / smoking / pills."

"Anxiety is preventing me from enjoying my life, and relationships."

I'm under pressure and stressed from life and work, I feel burned out, but it's really hard to get off the wheel."

"I don't know how to self regulate, I don't think I remember what calm and safety feel like in body. I can feel I need it,  but I don't know how."
ADHD & CHRONIC HEALTH CHALLENGES
"I don't think or function like others, a lot of the time I don't feel like I fit in."

"There are so many things I can't complete on time or at all unless I'm in hyper focus or find it super interesting. I find it hard to get myself motivated, focus and stay with the same task."

"I over-share with people even when I don't want to and I don't really trust them. I don't know why I do it and I don't want to feel like this anymore."

"I feel bad about myself when I compare myself to other people, their energy, productivity, things they can do and how they are. And I feel even worse when they have more responsibilities than I do."

"I find so many situations, social experiences, or lots of sensory input overwhelming, overstimulating. I don't know how to cope without completely dissociating, turning to things that numb me out, or turning to things that stimulate me more. I can end up exhausted and can't / don't want to do anything or see anyone."

"My body has limitations with energy and pain, and sometimes it calms a bit, other times it flares up. I find myself pushing too hard on a good day, and then being able to do nothing for days, and just  swinging back and forth, unable to find balance."

NOAH H. / Los Angeles

"I feel so grateful to have connected with Essena. From an early age, I developed the habit of closing myself off from an emotionally immature family. This strategy has affected all other relationships in my life. During my very first session with Essena, I could literally feel my body begin to soften and become much less guarded. I quickly understood at a deep level, this is someone I feel safe with. From this powerful and supportive foundation, I was able to open up and work through a variety of goals and personal challenges with her. Essena's presence and skills as a coach have had a beautiful and meaningful impact on my life. "
